Field Workers Manual
As per agreed action plan with World Bank a field workers manual has been developed listing the primary responsibilities of (Lady Health Workers (LHW5 , Community Midwives (CMWs), & Community Health Workers (CHWs) at the field Level. The manual is designed keeping in view the day to day activities of the health worker including the process of screening of malnourished children and their referral to the nearest Outpatient Therapeutic Program (OTP)/ Basic Health Unit (BHU) for treatment; multiple micronutrients supplementation to children between the age of 6-23 months; provision of Iron and Folic Acid to pregnant and lactating women in the catchment areas and regular sessions of counseling are started with mother support groups on nutrition, food groups, food frequency for malnourished children, health and hygiene and hand washing and use of ORS & Zinc to treat diarrhea in children.
