Inaugural Ceremony of Nutrition Stabilization Center at Sheikh Zayyad Medical Complex Quetta
A Nutrition Stabilization Center was established at Sheikh Zayyed Hospital in January 2019, and is being supported by Provincial Nutrition Directorate in Collaboration with the World Health Organization. On August 24, a symbolic inaugural ceremony was organized and WHO Country Representative Dr. Palitha Mahipala formally inaugurated the Nutrition Stabilization Center. In the ceremony high officials from Provincial Nutrition Directorate namely, Dr. Ghulam Mustafa (Deputy Director, Implementation, Nutrition) & Dr. Safya Mengal (Deputy Director, M&E and MIS) along with their competent team were present and they led the Mission along with the Medical Superintendent, Shiekh Zayyad Hospital, Dr. Fareed Khan Sumalani by giving them a complete brief along with the guided tour of the NSC & OTP sites being supported by Provincial Nutrition Directorate.
Afterwards WR and Mission Members honored the efforts of the Provincial Nutrition Directorate, team of Sheikh Zayyed hospital and WHO Sub-Office Balochistan, through certificates of appreciation. Country Head WHO Pakistan highly complemented the efforts being laid by Provincial Nutrition Directorate in supporting the NSC and also the team of Sheikh Zayyed Hospital for their undeniable efforts and commitment to the cause.
